About the Role
PURPOSE
This position acts as the International Region Capital Projects Delivery Specialist for IT Infrastructure / Cyber Security. The Capital Projects Specialist works directly with the project leads, discipline engineers and business stakeholders to ensure capital projects are delivered in adherence with Woodside and industry standards. Working closely with project EPCs and other vendors, the Capital Projects Delivery Specialist has the responsibility to ensure IT Infrastructure and Cyber Security systems are correctly engineered and delivered to support the Capital Projects.
Duties and Responsibilities
TECHNICAL
IT Infrastructure & Cyber Security Design and Implementation:
- Develop and implement network hosting infrastructure solutions to support capital projects, ensuring they meet performance, security, and scalability requirements.
- Accountable for IT Infrastructure & IT Cyber Security delivery for the Capital Project.
- Review / Comment / Approve EPC contractor IT / Cyber Designs Ensure design alignment with global strategies, practices and
standards. - Steward IT designs through Architecture & Cyber design approval.
Cyber Security and Compliance:
- Coordinate Cyber assurance with Cyber Security Team, to drive network hosting solutions compliance with industry standards and organizational security policies.
- Ensure compliance with global standards (SOX, GDPR, NERC CIP).
- Support regional Cyber team perform Cybersecurity design reviews and assessments of IT Solutions, steward designs through formal cyber and Architecture approvals.
- Participate in Cybersecurity and Digital Risk Assessment for the Capital Projects and hold risk controls & actions.
- Act as the Cybersecurity and Risk & Compliance SME.
- Liaise with the Cybersecurity teams, Emergency Management, and relevant Operation teams.
WORK PROCESSES & SYSTEMS
- Create and maintain schedules aligned with the master project schedules.
- Attend regular project meetings across multiple time zones.
- Provide input to weekly, monthly, and quarterly reports to Digital Project Leadership.
COLLABORATION
- Collaboration with International and Australian OT/IT engineering teams for alignment.
- Attend and provide input to project HAZOP/CHAZOP and other risk assessment activities.
- Act as single point of contact for capital projects IT and cybersecurity.
COMMERCIAL
- Contract management with Contractors and Contracting & Procurement and Company Representative to develop and review scopes of work and terms and conditions, participate in contract negotiations.
- Perform procurement functions in a timely manner.
- Monitor delivery and performance of service providers and contractors.
Skills and Experience
SKILLS
- Minimum 1 year of experience working with EPC/EPCM partners and complex capital project environments.
- Minimum 3 years’ experience with managing or working with IT, Cyber Security Infrastructure systems / processes and related technologies.
- Experienced in or exposure to engineering risk management practices.
- Experienced in typical project management methodologies and tools, schedule & cost management.
- Strong technical writing skills.
- Experience delivering IT/OT infrastructure in industrial, LNG, Pipeline or energy projects.
- Strong knowledge of network protocols, security standards, cloud hosting solutions and Cyber Security.
- Strong communication, organizational skills with good stakeholder management skills.
- Experience in OT, ICS, IEC 6151 1 Functional Safety, Process Safety and Critical Infrastructure environments highly desirable
Knowledge of frameworks including NIST CSF, NIST 800-53, NIST 800-82, NIST 800-207, NIST 800-160v1, 'EC 62443, as, ISO 27001 , SANS ICS/OT Critical Controls.
TECHNICAL
- Good understanding of IT network switching, routing and firewalling including knowledge of common industrial protocols.
- Good Understanding of IT Hosting design and Architecture standards.
- Knowledge of current and emerging cybersecurity threats and attacker TTPs.
- Knowledge of industrial control systems including SCADA, PLC, DCS, HMI and instrumentation.
- Maintain a good understanding and application of applicable cybersecurity standards and frameworks i.e. NIST CSF, NIST 800-53, NIST 800-82, NIST 800-207, NIST 800-160v1, 'EC 62443, as, ISO 27001, SANS ICS/OT Critical Controls.
- Ability to identify technically assess cybersecurity threats, risks and controls.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelors' degree preferably from Engineering Discipline.
- Evidence of level of cybersecurity certification (eg. CISSP, GICSP, GSEC, SSCP).
- Tertiary qualification in cybersecurity will be highly regarded.
