About the Role:

 

Woodside is currently seeking a Cross Product Analyst to join the Analytics team in our Singapore Office. This role enables and informs commercial decision-making by supporting the Global Trading and Operations team’s trading activities.

 

The Cross-Product Analyst is a dynamic, multi-commodity role that provides analytical support across marketing and trading functions. It focuses on analysing interactions across LNG, oil, and ammonia markets, as well as broader macroeconomic factors. This role involves monitoring supply and demand fundamentals, tracking market prices and physical flows, and interpreting market news to help identify opportunities and shape trading strategies. The role also supports internal reporting, such as performance tracking and deal verification and contributes to continuous improvement by enhancing tools and processes.

 

This role reports directly to the Head of Analytics and works closely with other analysts, while building strong relationships with stakeholders to share insights and support broader team objectives. Strong prioritisation skills and a proactive mindset are essential, as the role involves managing competing demands across multiple products. Duties & Responsibilities:

 

  • Collaborate closely with traders to provide timely, data-driven insights that support trading decisions, portfolio optimization, and market positioning – focusing primarily on ammonia, while also gaining exposure to LNG and oil
  • Own the evaluation, onboarding, and management of external market publications and consultants, ensuring value through regular engagement and acting as the internal focal point for access, licensing, and training
  • Develop and use LNG supply-demand balance models and analytical tools to support market analysis and forecasting
  • Develop and share weekly price markers and short-term forecasts, and distribute fortnightly market intelligence reports
  • Prepare presentations and reports, including those for senior management and the Board, performance tracking and deal verification
  • Collaborate with other analysts to share market intelligence and support cross-commodity analysis
  • Build strong relationships with stakeholders while identifying and implementing process improvements

 

Skills & Experience:

 

  • Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in oil and gas industry. Note that experience in ammonia, hydrogen, or fertiliser markets is advantageous
  • Numerate with analytical and diligent approach with good attention to detail
  • Experience with data analysis tools (e.g., Python, SQL, Excel, Power BI, Tableau) and ETRM systems; ability to handle large datasets
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills – able to translate complex data into clear insights
  • Self-starter with a proactive mindset and the ability to manage multiple priorities across products
