About the Role:
The Finance Manager role is within the Financial Planning & Performance team (Australia Business), and leads the business partnering team responsible for supporting the FPSO’s and Australia Support business units. Finance roles within Australian Operations assist in the delivery and analysis of financial results and metrics which enable the Australian Business team to protect and grow value for Woodside, consistent with our corporate values.
As a member of the FP&P Australia Operations lead team, the primary objective of this role is to provide leadership and business partnering support to both the FPSO & Australia Support Finance teams and the Business lead teams. The Finance Manager is the key Finance contact/support to the VP FPSO and Australia Support. The role requires strong leadership skills, a commercial mindset, combined with strong technical (functional) experience and an ability to work collaboratively to support in the delivery of business objectives.
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Team Leader, with key activities including: coaching and development of team members, execution of core routines and deliverables.
- Promoting a collaborative work environment with other Finance teams and business stakeholders to drive financial performance.
- Provide decision-making support to the Leadership teams with regard to Financial performance, highlighting potential commercial opportunities and risks, JVP engagement and Asset strategy plans.
- Performance Reporting & Analysis.
- Planning and co-ordination of Corporate Budgeting and Forecasting.
- Lead and support in development and implementation of financial business process improvements.
- Internal governance processes inclusive of accounting guidance (+key deliverables) and expenditure approval requirements (MOA/ IMF).
- Contracting support inclusive financial due diligence and contract review.
