About the Role
The HR Business Partner (HRBP) provides in‑country HR partnership and operational delivery for Woodside’s Trion Operations, with a primary focus on supporting the Tampico office. The role plays a critical part in execution of the Operations Readiness people plans, and in the tactical delivery of HR support during the remainder of the project phase and into start-up operations, ensuring compliant, efficient, and high‑quality HR support aligned with the HR Operating Model.
Duties and Responsibilities

- Support with any local IMT requirements
Leadership
- Informal, will attend Asset / Production Lead Team meetings if required by business
Work Process and Systems
- Respond to HR enquiries through HR connect, provide Spanish‑language triage for cases raised by employees, directing queries to the correct HR Assist group
- Support generalist HR processes such as;
- Talent Acquisition;arranging onsite access for candidates, participating in interview panels, and supporting third‑party contractor recruitment processes to ensure compliance with REPSE requirements
- Global mobility support; including coordination of on‑the‑ground processes. This involves liaising with local landlords and company representatives to facilitate wet signatures, stamps, and the collection and submission of required documentation. Ensure alignment of timing for all inbound and outbound assignments with both the business and the Global Mobility team.
- Training & Capability; Coordinate logistics and on‑the‑ground support for local delivery of Navigator, Respectful Behaviors, and other capability programs
Key Accountabilities
- Act as the onsite HRBP for the Tampico office, providing day‑to‑day people‑related guidance, supporting and coaching on culture and capability initiatives led by the HR team.
- Ensure alignment to local Mexican Labor requirements and company policies.
- Input to asset people plans to drive innovation, collaboration, and acceleration towards desired people imperatives under the Woodside People Strategy.
- Support the delivery of culture programs to deliver and manage high performance.
- Provision of strategic HR support to mitigate people risk.
- Support leaders with case management, grievances, investigations, performance and disciplinary matters, escalating to Senior/Lead HRBP or ER/IR as required.
- Coach and guide leaders on cyclical activities, organisational design and change management frameworks, leadership development and succession planning.
- Work closely with Houston-based COE teams to ensure alignment with HR activities.
- Deliver HR support service initiated through HR Assist and leader engagements.
- Act as delegate for Senior/Lead HRBP role as required
Skills and Experience
- Prior experience as a HR Business Partner supporting Operations teams, providing leadership coaching and frontline people‑support.
- Ability to build trust with leaders and employees in an operational environment
- Solid understanding of HR processes across the employee life cycle.
- Strong working knowledge of Mexican labor laws and regulatory requirements.
- Experience supporting international assignees and cross‑border mobility processes, or talent acquisition advantageous.
- Ability to manage confidential documents and ensure data privacy compliance
- Prior experience working with an international company and in a global HR teams, collaborating across different time zones.
- This role will be required to operate independently, and in an isolated location, so we are seeking someone with considerable demonstrated experience in HR
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Knowledge of or interest in Operations would be highly regarded.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in HR, Business, or related field (mandatory)
- Fluent English & Spanish (mandatory)
Proficiency in English is preferred
