About the role:

You will be working within the Trion Project Logistics team, working to promote safe, reliable, and efficient logistics operations. Project Logistics covers shorebase operations, platform supply vessel’s, elicopter operations, Trucking and all other Logistics related scopes.  

You will promote operational excellence with a focus on Logistics (specifically marine), Port Services and Fuel Provision through visible safety leadership and active contract management. Key responsibilities include: 

  • Assessing and advising on the suitability of specific offshore vessels and berth facilities for the work scopes required for the project.  
  • Identifying and executing logistics strategies to leverage opportunities for synergies between demand sources from internal sources.  
  • Monitoring and managing vessel performance during charter periods. 
  • Collaborating with Contracting & Procurement to optimize both commercial and operational outcomes in Woodside’s logistics activities.  
  • Manage relationships with logistics / vessel providers as a Woodside company representative.  
  • Using data effectively for decision-making in the marine operations context, thereby achieving high vessel utilization rates and outstanding HS performance. 
  • Driving safety leadership by consistently engaging with the HSE&Q Function, aiming for world-class Mode-3 HS performance. 
  • Engaging with internal stakeholders to achieve industry-leading risk-management.  
  • Keeping up-to-date with industry regulatory changes and engaging with regulators or industry groups as needed to influence most beneficial outcomes.  
  • Management of fuel booking system in conjunction with external parties, ensuring compliance with regulatory controls and requirements.  
  • Management of Marine Agency services on behalf of Woodside to ensure appropriate performance outcomes.  

Skills & Experience

  • English and Spanish bilingual level B2 or higher 
  • 10+ years experience working with offshore oilfield logistics / operations preferred.  
  • Experienced Mariners strongly preferred but not required (officer or higher) 
  • Vessel Management experience strongly preferred but not required.  
  • Experience with Mexican marine related regulation, specifically: 
  • Marine flag and class requirements 
  • Port regulation and requirements 
  • Marine fueling requirements 
  • Ability to work autonomously. 
  • Understanding of supply chain principles. 
  • Experience and skill in applying continuous improvement methods and tools. 
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to adopt best practices into the Woodside operating environment. 
  • Proven ability to communicate effectively and manage change across various stakeholder groups. 
  • Ability to influence others to deliver business outcomes.
