About the Role:

The Engineering Data Management team (EDM) is an integrated support team, residing within Central Engineering that has defined, managed and governed all facets of the engineering design tools and data management landscape of Woodside Energy for over 16 years. Over this period, the way information and data is produced, governed and delivered has changed considerably and we are proud to be recognised within the industry in some areas of EDM as leaders in applying these technologies and ways of working within an Owner Operator environment.

We are currently in an exciting period of growth that will dramatically increase the inventory of equipment, engineering data and systems under our teams control and as such are looking for a passionate candidate that wants to helps us continue to support and transform the future of Woodsides Engineering Data.

This role will be offered initiaily on a 2 year fixed-term contract with opportunity to extend. 

Duties & Responsibilities:

Key accountabilities include: 

  • Supports the business to ensure that all Engineering Data for our operating assets is collected, stored and managed in alignment to our defined standards.
  • Guides and directs our offshore Business Process Out-Sourced (BPO) team, inspiring them to deliver exceptional outcomes for our business.
  • Coordinates the execution of continuous improvement initiatives (Data, Process & Systems related) as defined in our 5 year EDM business plan.

Skills & Experience:

We are looking for a qualified professional, likely to have exposure working for a large oil and gas / resources owner operator, large engineering house or similar, however other relevant backgrounds will be considered.

In addition, you will also be able to demonstrate

  • Track record in supporting and delivering improvements with engineering data management processes and solutions
  • Worked with out-sourced transactional process business models.
  • Strong stakeholder engagement experience, preferably within a large organisation.
  • Continuous improvement mindset (particularly around engineering systems and engineering data management)
  • A high level of proficiency with Power BI, Hexagon & AVEVA Design & Portal software is highly desirable.
