About the Role:

Our current Inventory Team Leader is making a move to a new role within Woodside, so the opportunity is here for a dynamic individual to join the organisation during an exciting time of growth. As our next Inventory Team Leader, you will be responsible for overseeing a small team of specialists who are passionate in delivering the right outcome for our business.

 

The role is also responsible for the end to end materials lifecycle (including chemical management) and opportunities to improve the efficiency of our service to our diverse customer base. You will also ensure that the materials management network, processes and systems are optimised in a manner that supports safe, reliable and efficient production and excellent project delivery.

Duties & Responsibilities:

This is a leadership role where you will oversee a team, lead improvement processes, drive efficiencies, and liaise with a wide range of stakeholders to deliver exceptional materials and logistics service.

 

Key to your success in this role, is a continuous improvement mindset to raise the Logistics services at Woodside from ‘good to great to exceptional’ with a clear focus on effective stakeholder engagement.

 

Some of the typical duties you will undertake in this role will include:

  • Develop strong collaborative relationships with stakeholders to understand requirements and identify improvements
  • Work with stakeholders to ensure materials management process are effectively delivering business requirements (efficient materials network, optimised inventory, in-storage preservation, disposal activities)
  • Oversee the chemical management improvement program, working with cross functional stakeholders to ensure effective implementation of change
  • Champion Innovation & Continuous Improvement approaches, practices and capability development within Materials Management to relentlessly remove waste
  • Manage Materials Management performance reporting and systems, and perform root cause and process analysis to support corrective actions and ongoing improvement
  • Facilitate regular review of Materials Management risks and controls, provide assurance over these processes

Skills & Experience:

We are open to considering people from a range of backgrounds for this role. As this is a leadership position, we are looking for demonstrated leadership experience in your work history. To complement this, and to aide you in dealing with the wide range of stakeholders this role will interact with, you’ll have really strong interpersonal and communication skills. Some background in Materials, Logistics or Supply chain would be desirable, but not mandatory. You will need to be degree qualified, probably in Supply Chain, Logistics, Commerce or similar.

In addition to these, some of the things we will be looking for in your application will include:

  • Proven experience in the application of Continuous Improvement methods and practices
  • Demonstrable experience in risk management and assurance
  • Materials Management technical competencies within Logistics including:
    • Materials Planning & Management
    • Material Master Data
    • Warehousing and Distribution
  • Project management, analytical and problem-solving capability
