About the Role:

The purpose of the position is to ensure the provision of cost management, reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and general management accounting activities are carried out effectively and to build and maintain positive relationships with customers by providing information and quality reports for the Scarborough Development organisational unit. 


This position will be based in Perth, Western Australia and offers lots of opportunities and a great lifestyle.


This position will work on a 24 month fixed term contract.

Duties & Responsibilities:
  • Management accounting for activities across the Scarborough organisational unit including month and period end and reporting to stakeholders to provide business insights
  • Coordinating the annual Budget process for Scarborough organisational unit, both for Woodside Corporate Budget and Joint Venture work program and budget
  • Provide support to the Scarborough Finance Business Partner
  • Focusing efforts to improve the delivery of services and processes that meet customer requirements
  • Performing analysis on Scarborough organisational unit costs and expenditure to determine expenditure trends and advising suitable courses of action for improvement;
  • Respond to internal queries regarding Scarborough organisational unit expenditure, including Group Planning and Taxation information/analysis requests
  • Contribute to standardisation and automation improvements
  • Support Finance Functional projects
Skills & Experience:

If you have a background in energy, mining, financial services, consulting, utilities, automotive, aviation, military, pharmaceuticals, chemical processing or construction industries, you are strongly encouraged to apply.


What we expect from you:

  • Bachelor’s degree with a CA or CPA qualification (including current membership with CA or CPA)
  • Demonstrated experiences as a Management Accountant who has provided financial leadership for valuable and strategic advice to customers/businesses
  • Excellent communication skills across a broad range of finance and non-finance personnel
  • Strong financial and analytical skills, including strong attention to detail
  • Improvement mindset to continually optimise processes
  • SAP proficiency particularly in the JV/CO modules
  • Knowledge and understanding of Joint Venture arrangements and accounting preferred
  • Understanding of the Exploration and Production lifecycle will be considered advantageous
