About the Role:

We are looking for future leaders at Senior Analyst level to join our high-performing team.

 

Analysts are at the heart of our Commercial function. Our Analysts work closely with project teams to frame investment decisions, source information from technical experts and provide the business with insightful analysis to support a range of business decisions.

Duties & Responsibilities:

The role will provide you with the opportunity to undertake detailed financial and commercial analysis across our base business as well as growth projects. Applying your analytical and problem-solving skills you will have the opportunity to develop a deep understanding of our projects and support the business deliver its strategy. You will get exposure to the full lifecycle of project developments where your regular responsibilities will include:

  • Guiding opportunity framing for new investment decisions
  • Developing and using economic models (primarily using Microsoft Excel) to support the analysis
  • Performing valuation analysis to support major investment decisions and commercial negotiations
  • Identifying and clearly communicating analytical insights to add value and inform the direction of the business
  • Working with multidisciplinary teams and managing diverse stakeholders
  • Supporting functional excellence initiatives to improve efficiency and quality of analysis
  • Coaching and supporting junior and graduate Analysts
Skills & Experience:

We are looking for experienced analysts, so you are probably in a similar role currently and will be at a level where you can work autonomously with minimal guidance or direction.
You will have a Tertiary degree qualification in Accounting, Finance or other related discipline. Exposure to Energy industry for a considerable part of your career is highly desirable.

You will have an in depth understanding of valuation methodologies and value drivers, including discounted cash flow, risk analysis and corporate financial analysis as well as knowledge of oil and gas fiscal regimes.

You will understand the importance of getting it right, with a track record of providing high quality, accurate and robust analysis for decision making purposes, with the experience to discern the level of detail that is fit-for-purpose for the decision at hand.

Your experience developing concise and informative board and executive level communications will demonstrate your ability to ensure valuation analysis effectively guides the decision.
