In November 2021, the Scarborough and Pluto Expansion developments (Pluto Train 2, Pluto Train 1 Mods) achieved positive FID.  The US$12.0 billion (100%, $6.9 billion Woodside share) LNG development is expected to deliver significant cash flow and value to shareholders.  
 
The Scarborough gas processed through Pluto Train 2 will be one of the lowest carbon intensity sources of LNG delivered to customers in north Asia, with first LNG cargo targeted for 2026. 
  

About the Role:

This Operational position is a company seconded role into Bechtel and works within a multi-disciplined CSU team that is responsible for the safe, reliable and optimised pre-commissioning, commissioning, startup and initial operations phase of Pluto Train 2. 

Following handover to Woodside in 2026, it is intended that this role will transfer to a Woodside operations role involved in the operation and maintenance of the PT2 asset or support other Woodside project activities.  
 
We are seeking a Production Technician Projects to join the Pluto Train 2 project working on site in Karratha.  This role is being offered as a 18-24 month fixed term contract, with preference for the successful candidate to be residentially based in Karratha or FIFO for the duration of the execute phase, with PT2 Operate Phase roles to be residential based post-substantial completion aligned to existing Asset strategy.   This position will be a 2/2 roster for the project phase.

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Providing operational support of field commissioning, startup and initial operations activities as project Production Technician role supporting Bechtel scope PT2 scope
  • Development of ISSoW permits and isolation schemes to support PT2 area activities
  • Providing quality operational input to HSE processes including safety walks, assurance assessment, permit audits

Skills & Experience:

• 5 years+ Ops experience

• Fluent in ISSoW

• Onshore experience is preferred, previous project experience will be viewed favourably

• Ability to work constructively with a diverse range of people under secondment arrangements, including operations, engineering, Digital and contractors
