About the Role:

Woodside Energy USA Services Inc. seeks a Principal Production Engineer at our Houston, TX location to support the Gulf of Mexico non-operated asset, primarily focusing on the Atlantis field.
Duties & Responsibilities:
Position will also perform the following: Lead production engineering activities including well surveillance, production optimization, well interventions, and short-term forecasting. Collaborate with subsurface, facilities, and project teams, as well as engagement with operators to influence technical decisions and maximize production. Contribute to business planning, reserves evaluation, and continuous improvement initiatives, utilizing integrated production modeling tools and digital oil field applications. Additional support may be provided to other assets for well integrity, regulatory submissions, document control, and allocation processes.
Skills & Experience:
Education and Occupational Experience:
Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent in Petroleum Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or related field of study and 5 years of progressive post-baccalaureate experience in the job offered or related occupation.
Qualifications/Skills and Competencies Experience:
Experience must involve 3 years in the following:
- Nodal analysis, integrated field modeling, and virtual metering including Digital Oil Field applications including GAP, PROSPER and RESOLVE;
- Production operations, monitoring, and optimization including artificial lift and short-term forecasting;
- Flow assurance, scale prediction and control, and stimulation techniques;
- New technology, smart well equipment, multilateral wells, and subsea systems;
- Project economic evaluation and analysis, including connecting impact of operations to business performance; and
- Leading small multi-discipline teams, including collaboration across multiple disciplines technical and non-technical.
