About the Role

The Superintendent will oversee the construction of all Owner’s Projects at our Louisiana LNG facility and surrounding areas. In this role, you will be responsible for organizing and directing project construction activities and managing site operations within your assigned area of responsibility and ensure those operations are compliant, safe, on time, and within the scope and budget.

Duties and Responsibilities

HSEQ

+Enforce Company & Project HSSE policies, standards, and regulations across all area operations to ensure compliance.
+Foster a strong safety culture by encouraging proactive hazard reporting and adherence to Company & Project safe work practices.

Leadership

+Manage and direct all area construction activities.
+Act as primary liaison for area, maintaining effective communication with all stakeholders and functional departments.
+Serve as the point of contact between the project team and contractor construction team, resolving issues and ensuring smooth project progression.

Work Processes & Systems

+Develop, implement, and oversee area field procedures and objectives, as required.
+Maintain accurate records and documentation, including progress reports and safety reports.

Technical

+Lead construction activities within the areas of the LNG facility and surrounding areas that fall under the Owner’s Project work scope.
+Ensure that construction work aligns with project schedules, milestones, and design specifications.
+Manage resource allocation, including labor, materials, equipment, and subcontractors, to optimize construction efficiency.
+Conduct inspections, audits, and testing to ensure compliance with industry codes and standards.
+Assess and manage changes and modifications within those areas.

+Ensure projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards.
+Build and maintain relationships with clients, subcontractors, and internal teams.
+Anticipate and mitigate risks that could impact project success.
+Provide clear and actionable updates to management regarding project progress, challenges, and financial performance.

Skills and Experience

Skills & Experience

+Strong knowledge of construction processes, codes, and industry standards.
+Excellent leadership and supervisory skills, with the ability to manage and motivate diverse teams.
+Ability to identify and resolve construction, safety, and quality issues quickly and effectively.
+Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, for reporting and coordination with stakeholders.
+Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities in high-pressure situations.
+In-depth understanding of safety regulations and construction standards.
+Experience with LNG, power plants, or other large-scale infrastructure projects.

Qualifications

+Bachelor’s / Technical Degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field (preferred).
+Relevant certifications in safety (e.g., OSHA, NEBOSH) or construction management (e.g., PMP, CCM) are a plus
+10 years of experience in major projects within the Oil and Gas industry.
