About the Role

 

This role is responsible for the accurate, efficient, and compliant execution of Woodside’s global reward frameworks across the employee lifecycle.

 

Working within the HR Operations model, the Reward Specialist ensures that reward outcomes, such as base pay, allowances, incentives, and benefits, are delivered consistently through systems and processes, aligned with policy and governance requirements.

 

The role focuses on operational excellence, partnering with Reward Centre of Excellence, HR Systems, Workforce Administration, Payroll and HR Business Partners to deliver a high-quality employee experience through technology-enabled and process-driven reward delivery.

 

Reward Execution & Operational Delivery

  • Deliver end-to-end execution of global cyclical reward processes.
  • Administer reward frameworks including: 
    • Base pay and allowances
    • Short-term incentive and performance-related pay
    • Relevant benefits and recognition elements
  • Ensure accurate and timely processing of reward outcomes via HR Systems (SuccessFactors) and payroll interfaces.
  • Respond to reward-related queries through HR case management channels.

 

Duties and Responsibilities

 

Systems & Process Excellence (SuccessFactors Focus)

  • Leverage SuccessFactors (Employee Central, Compensation) and related systems to execute reward processes efficiently
  • Maintain high data integrity and governance across HR and payroll systems
  • Identify and resolve data discrepancies impacting reward outcomes
  • Support system enhancements, testing cycles, and process standardisation initiatives
  • Develop AI opportunities to augment Reward processes, to deliver predictable, efficient outcomes and excellence in the employee experience

 

Process Improvement & Continuous Improvement

  • Identify opportunities to streamline and standardise reward processes within the HR Operations model.
  • Contribute to the design and implementation of scalable, repeatable, and controlled processes.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives in line with HR transformation priorities.

 

Governance, Risk & Compliance

  • Ensure reward delivery complies with: 
  • Internal policies and frameworks
  • Delegated authorities and approval processes
  • Legislative and statutory requirements across multiple jurisdictions
  • Maintain appropriate audit trails and documentation to support SOX/audit requirements.
  • Support risk identification and control effectiveness within reward processes.

 

Stakeholder Support

  • Act as a key point of contact for operational reward queries from HR and the business, providing clear, practical guidance on reward application.
  • Collaborate closely with and HR Systems, Workforce Administration and Payroll teams to ensure seamless delivery outcomes.

 

Digital & AI-Enabled HR

  • Support the adoption of AI and automation tools to enhance process efficiency and employee experience.
  • Contribute to innovation in HR Operations by identifying opportunities where: 
  • Automation can reduce manual effort
  • AI can improve response quality and speed
  • Employee experience can be enhanced through digital solutions

 

Skills and Experience

 

Technical Capabilities & Experience

  • Strong experience in HR Operations and reward execution in a complex, multi-national environment
  • Advanced experience with SuccessFactors (Employee Central and Compensation module)
  • Understanding of end-to-end HR lifecycle processes, including handoffs Workforce Administration & Payroll teams
  • Experience in working with complex global reward frameworks and policies
  • Strong working knowledge of:
  • HR systems and data management
  • Payroll interfaces and implications
  • Controls, compliance, and audit requirements
