The Sangomar field, which contains both oil and gas, is situated 100 kilometers south of Dakar. Work on the Sangomar Field Development has been ongoing since June 2024. this position is exclusively open to Senegalese nationals.

About the Role:
This position will be a focal point for Corporate Affairs activities to support Woodside’s Sangomar Field Operations. Working at the direction of the Corporate Affairs Manager, Senegal, and alongside the Sangomar Field Operations team, this role will support delivery of Corporate Affairs activities associated with the Operations with a focus on Social Investments and Community relations. This role will support social investment planning, implementation and monitoring; and reporting as well as communities engagement planning/implementation and support all in country Corporate Affairs related activities where required. The role is based in Dakar, Senegal

Responsible for executing communities engagements planning and implementation for the Sangomar Field Operations
Responsible for monitoring the social investment programs.
Responsible for supporting Corporate Affairs inputs for OMF deliverables to meet the Sangomar Field Development milestones.
Responsible for Implementing the Woodside Social Performance principles in Senegal
Responsible for the Woodside Social Performance reporting
Ability to adhere to strict compliance and governance arrangements.

TECHNICAL
Developing and delivering engagement plans, stakeholder engagement strategies and statutory reporting activities including preparation drafts of internal and external materials for targeted and broad-based stakeholder engagement and messaging.
Leading and implementing community and local authorities engagement activities in support of Sangomar’s communities and social performance outcomes.
Supporting non-government stakeholder engagement / advocacy communications including preparation of materials and coordination of activities.
Leading social performance implementation and monitoring.
Maintaining and applying knowledge of emerging issues and best practice standards

Social Performance assurance
Community Engagement Plan
CSR and Social Investment Programs Monitoring and reporting
Education, awareness-raising and expectation setting across Woodside’s global teams.
Skills & Experience:
At least 10 to 15 years of corporate affairs related experience.
Awareness of Senegal political environment and community issues that interface with Woodside’s business.
Demonstrated experience in influencing communities in Senegal through a various set of Community Engagement Activities
Demonstrated ability to work both independently and within a diverse, multi-lingual team.
Preparedness to drive outcomes in support of overall development milestones.
Demonstrated ability to apply initiative and innovation to work activities.
Strong written and verbal skills in French, English and Wolof for the purposes of internal and external communications.
Beneficial, but not essential:
Demonstrated strong writing skills (proven experience in journalism or creative writing)
Experience in event coordination (conferences, internal events)
Experience in engaging with community and civil society groups such as NGOs, regional development structures such as CLPAs, chambers of commerce and social investment partners etc.
Qualifications
Minimum Master level degree in journalism, communications, sociology, political science, legal or related fields
