About the Role

The Senior Commercial Advisor is a senior individual contributor within the Louisiana LNG (LALNG) Commercial team, responsible for leading the execution, integration, and optimisation of the project’s commercial framework across the full LNG value chain.

 

The role is accountable for delivering commercial outcomes across a complex portfolio of agreements, joint venture structures, and partner interfaces, ensuring alignment with Woodside’s value objectives through the execution and operationalisation of LALNG’s commercial strategy.

 

The position plays a key role in interfacing across Commercial, Business Management, Gas Supply, Marketing, Finance, Legal, and Operations to ensure the effective delivery of obligations, governance, and decision-making across the project.

Duties and Responsibilities

Commercial Execution & Integration

  • Lead the execution and operationalisation of LALNG commercial agreements across:
    • LNG offtake (SPAs)
    • Gas supply and transportation arrangements
    • JV and HoldCo / InfraCo / Gas Supply structures
  • Ensure all commercial obligations are embedded into business processes and are delivered in line with project requirements
  • Support transition from project execution into operational readiness and steady-state commercial operations

 

Sell-down & Strategic Partner Support

  • Support execution of LALNG equity sell-down and engagement with prospective partners
  • Contribute to investor materials, due diligence responses, and commercial positioning
  • Support structuring and evaluation of partner participation (equity, offtake, governance)
  • Coordinate across Commercial, Finance, Legal, and M&A to progress sell-down workstreams
  • Provide commercial input into partner negotiations and manage key risks

 

JV Governance & Partner Management

  • Manage and support engagement with JV partners (e.g. Williams, Stonepeak and future equity participants)
  • Ensure compliance with contractual obligations, reporting requirements, and governance frameworks

 

Commercial Structuring & Negotiation

  • Support development and negotiation of commercial structures, amendments, and new arrangements across:
    • Expansion phases
    • Sell-down / equity partner structures
    • Commercial optimisation initiatives
  • Provide commercial input into negotiations and stakeholder engagements to drive value-accretive outcomes

 

Cross-functional Delivery

  • Act as a commercial interface across:
    • Commercial, Marketing & Trading
    • Gas Supply
    • Projects and Operations
    • Finance, Legal, Tax, Treasury
  • Drive alignment across functions to ensure consistent commercial positions and efficient execution

 

Commercial Performance & Decision Support

  • Develop and frame:
    • Commercial analysis
    • Business cases
    • Board / SteerCo materials
  • Support decision-making through clear articulation of commercial risks, trade-offs, and value outcomes

Skills and Experience

Commercial & Technical Capability

  • Deep experience in LNG, energy, or large-scale infrastructure projects
  • Strong understanding of:
    • LNG value chain and commercial structures

    • complex multi-contract project environments

  • Proven ability to:
    • Drive outcomes across multiple stakeholders
    • Manage complex commercial interfaces

  • Strong relationship management capability across:

Qualifications

  • Degree in Business, Finance, or related discipline
  • Significant experience in commercial / business development / project commercial roles
  • Experience in LNG or major capital projects required
