About the Role

We are seeking a Senior Data Operations Engineer to lead the day-to-day operation of an enterprise data platform. This role is responsible for ensuring the platform remains stable, secure, reliable, and fit for business use, while overseeing managed service provider performance, incident and change governance, operational compliance, and continuous improvement.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Lead daily operations for the enterprise data platform, ensuring effective service delivery, platform reliability, and operational performance.
  • Oversee managed service providers, including vendor governance, service levels, service quality, and operational escalations.
  • Coordinate major incident response, change management, problem management, and Level 3 support to support timely resolution of issues.
  • Maintain platform availability, resilience, security, and compliance in line with risk and service management requirements.
  • Drive continuous improvement through automation, observability, standardisation, and improved supportability.
  • Work closely with platform, delivery, regional service line, governance, risk, security, and service centre teams to manage priorities and improve operational outcomes.

Skills and Experience

 

  • Demonstrated experience in enterprise or cloud platform operations.
  • Strong understanding of incident, change and problem management, observability, automation, and service reliability.
  • Experience managing managed service providers, contracts, service levels, and operational escalations in a complex enterprise environment.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and stakeholder engagement skills.
  • Ability to work across technical and business teams and translate operational issues into clear business impacts.
  • A structured, service-focused approach with the ability to remain calm and effective under pressure.
