About the Role

People are central to Woodside’s success, particularly within our complex and safety-critical offshore operations. We are committed to attracting, developing, and retaining top talent, and this role is pivotal to enabling safe, reliable and efficient operations across the North West Shelf (NWS) offshore portfolio.

As a Senior HR Business Partner supporting the NWS Business Unit and offshore platforms (North Rankin and Goodwyn Platforms), you will serve as a trusted adviser to leadership, bringing strong judgement to complex people matters, and aligning human resources initiatives with business objectives. You will align people strategy with operational priorities, ensuring workforce capability, culture and leadership enable safe and efficient delivery.

This role requires significant depth in generalist experience, with the ability to influence, challenge constructively, and deliver outcomes in a dynamic, operationally-driven environment.

You’ll collaborate closely with HR colleagues, embodying a “One Team” mindset that values partnership, consistency, and shared outcomes. We are proud of our inclusive culture, which celebrates diversity and fosters a sense of belonging. Flexible work arrangements, including part-time hours (0.8 FTE), will be considered.

Duties and Responsibilities

This is a broad and impactful role with end-to-end accountability for generalist HR support across the NWS BU and Offshore portfolio.

In this role, you will partner with the VP and their leadership team to:

  • Translate business priorities into executable people plans, aligned to offshore operational demands and BU objectives.
  • Lead workforce planning, organisational design and change initiatives to ensure the right structure and capability for current and future needs.
  • Provide expert advice and judgement across policy interpretation and complex case management, including grievances, investigations, disciplinary matters, and illness/injury management.
  • Anticipate people risks early, partnering with leadership teams to put robust plans, controls and mitigations in place.
  • Demonstrate agility and resilience, adapting quickly to shifting priorities and evolving business needs.
  • Champion engagement, retention and culture, working collaboratively with HR Centres of Excellence to deliver high‑impact initiatives.
  • Build strong internal partnerships across HR, enabling seamless, high‑quality support and a “one team” delivery approach.

Skills and Experience

This is a senior role within Woodside’s HR team. We are seeking a degree-qualified professional in HR, Psychology, or a related discipline, with significant experience operating at a senior HRBP level.

Success in this role is underpinned by your ability to build hightrust relationships with senior and frontline leaders across diverse and operational workforces, apply sound judgement to complex people matters, and influence people outcomes with clarity and confidence. You bring a collaborative, team-first mindset and a willingness to step in and support broader HR priorities where needed.

Recognition and Reward

What you can expect from us:

  • Commitment to your ongoing development, including on-the-job opportunities, formal programs and coaching
  • Industry-leading 18 weeks paid parental leave for primary carer, and maintenance of superannuation or retirement benefits at the current rate during any period of unpaid parental leave for up to 24 months (plus secondary carer leave entitlements)
  • Values led culture with a focus on creating a psychologically and physically safe work environment
  • Active employee-led working groups driving initiatives to build an inclusive culture
  • Community volunteering opportunities
  • Relocation assistance (if required)
  • A competitive remuneration package featuring performance-based incentives
