Based in Singapore, you will lead the monetisation of equity LNG volumes alongside third-party supply and demand, leveraging physical optionality, shipping flexibility, and financial instruments to maximise portfolio value. You will be expected to actively take and express market views across both physical and derivatives markets, translating these into disciplined trading strategies and consistent P&L delivery.

This is a senior, front-office role requiring strong risk-taking capability, deep LNG market expertise, and the ability to operate across the full value chain.

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Integrate third-party supply and demand into the portfolio to enhance optionality and arbitrage opportunities

Market View & Risk-Taking

  • Develop and express clear market views across global LNG, natural gas, and related energy markets
  • Actively take positions in both physical cargoes and paper markets (e.g., JKM, TTF, Henry Hub, freight derivatives)
  • Manage commercial exposures with a strong understanding of basis risks and cross-commodity linkages
  • Recommend and execute hedging and risk management strategies aligned with portfolio objectives

Risk Management & Governance

  • Ensure compliance with governance frameworks and trading risk policies
  • Proactively assess and manage risks across the trading portfolio, including price, basis, and operational risks
  • Be able to implement effective hedging strategies aligned with portfolio objectives

Skills & Experience:

  • Degree in Engineering, Economics, Mathematics, or a related numerate discipline
  • Extensive experience (typically 8–12+ years) in LNG, gas trading, or closely related commodities
  • Proven track record of asset-backed trading and portfolio optimisation with direct P&L responsibility
  • Demonstrated ability to take and manage market views across both physical and paper markets
  • Strong understanding of the LNG value chain and global gas market dynamics

Technical & Trading Expertise

  • Deep knowledge of LNG pricing benchmarks (e.g., JKM, TTF, Henry Hub) and contract structures (DES, FOB)
  • Experience trading derivatives and managing basis/spread risks across regions
  • Strong understanding of shipping economics and logistical optimisation

Leadership & Personal Attributes

  • Strong commercial judgement and risk awareness in volatile markets
  • Excellent influencing and communication skills
