About the Role

 

The FPSO team is seeking a Senior Materials, Inspection & Corrosion Engineer to support safe, reliable and efficient operations and act as Control Owner for Piping & Pressure Containment Systems.

 

This role offers exposure to technical MICE problem-solving, maintenance strategy development, and delivery of inspection and integrity scopes.

Duties and Responsibilities

 

The successful candidate will deliver the following:

 

  • Provide MICE support to offshore operations, TST, and subsea teams.
  • Develop integrity inspection scopes.
  • Review and close out inspection reports, manage anomalies, and recommend corrective engineering actions.
  • Perform RBI assessments and updates using integrity management systems.
  • Support risk assessments and participate in ORAs, HAZID, HAZOP, and engineering reviews.
  • Develop annual corrosion health checks and core MICE discipline deliverables.
  • Define remediation strategies and prioritise work based on risk.
  • Ensure compliance with WEG and industry standards for material selection, coating, and welding.
  • Fulfill Control Owner responsibilities using SAP maintenance processes, Sentient, JIRA, etc.
  • Complete engineering assurance reviews and CET reports.
  • Identify opportunities for improvement in work and maintenance practices.

Skills and Experience

 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Materials & Corrosion Engineering or Mechanical Engineering.
  • Proven experience in integrity engineering (piping, valves, welding, pressure vessels) preferably supporting operations.
  • Knowledge of industry standards for materials, coatings, and welding.
  • PSM knowledge competency.
  • MICE TIC competency or ability to attain in role.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work with S4H and integrity management systems (i.e. Bentley APM).
  • Ability to travel offshore if required.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
