About the Role

The specialist engineer is part of a cross-disciplinary team supporting the Project Management Office and the commercial team for the Trion project in Mexico City. The role contributes to positive project outcomes through effective use of governance processes and proactive engagement with PEMEX and other key stakeholders.  This role is designed as an early-career opportunity, providing broad exposure to project, commercial, and governance activities, with the potential to develop into more specialized engineering roles over time.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Lead coordination of monthly reports, quarterly updates, and other formal communications with PEMEX
  • Manage and coordinate required external approvals for Trion press releases and external presentations
  • Support the secondment program and act as a liaison between PEMEX and WDS, facilitating secondee’s approvals, collaboration and alignment
  • Support the preparation of materials for presentation to the Operating Committee and relevant subcommittees
  • Assit the team in evaluating and progressing new business initiatives and growth opportunities in Mexico
  • Ensure all commercial communications and notices are issued in accordance with the Joint Operating Agreement and license requirements

Skills and Experience

Qualification

  • Degree in Engineering, Petroleum Preferred.
  • Technical background with awareness of relevant disciplines
  • Strong interpersonal and engagement skills
  • Excellent collaboration skills demonstrated through working experience
  • Ability to communicate effectively

 

Experience & Technical competencies

  • Minimum experience is not required, available to recent graduates
  • Familiarity with upstream business
  • Strong communication and presentation skills
  • Strong attention to detail

 

Languages: Bilingual (Spanish and Intermediate English) - Required

Proficiency in English is preferred
