About the Role:

 

Woodside is seeking experienced financial accountants with technical and commercial accounting backgrounds, to support the company through an exciting and unique period of growth and transformation.

Duties & Responsibilities:

 

The roles cover a variety of financial accounting support, including:

 

  • Managing the financial results and providing accounting support for Woodside functions / business units, including communicating results to relevant business unit Finance Managers
  • Engagement with the internal and external auditors
  • Advising on technical accounting matters and preparation of accounting position papers
  • Preparation of monthly financial reports and analysis
  • Preparation of subsidiary financial statements

 

Skills & Experience:

 

  • 5-10 years of financial accounting experience
  • Demonstrate commitment to and alignment with the Woodside Compass
  • Experience in preparation of statutory financial reports
  • Sound understanding of Australian and International Accounting Standards
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Commitment to continuous improvement
  • Strong financial and commercial analytical skills
  • Professional qualification (ACA/CPA) or equivalent
  • Demonstrated experience as a professional in finance/accounting
  • Resources industry (preferably oil & gas) is preferred but not essential
  • Candidates with experience in US listed entities including exposure to Sarbanes-Oxley reporting are encouraged to apply.
