The Trion field is located in the Perdido Fold Belt, at a water depth of 2,500m approximately 180km off the Mexican coastline and 30km south of the US/Mexico maritime border. Trion is a greenfield development that would represent the first oil production from Mexico’s deepwater, with potential for future discoveries to be tied back to Trion facilities.

About the Role:

The Training Coordinator is accountable for supporting the local execution of the Training & Competency Plan and schedule. This role will coordinate all training of offshore personnel and will interface with internal and external training providers. The Training Coordinator will also work within the Woodside Learning Management System to manage competency verification and reporting. This role will work closely with other members of the Operations Readiness Project Management Office (PMO) in Houston.  

Duties & Responsibilities:

Project Phase Activities 

  • Manage communications with external training providers to facilitate training delivery including vendor set up, scheduling, venue selection, and travel arrangements.
  • Interface with internal business units such as Health, Safety, Environment & Technology to facilitate the delivery of required training courses.
  • Coordinate and organize competency documentation including course completion certificates, licenses, certifications, etc to support reporting and competency tracking.
  • Maintain the training schedule to ensure that rotational personnel complete all training required during their in-office periods.
  • Utilize corporate Learning Management System to assign courses and track completion of training
  • Support the PMO team in Houston with performance management and reporting

Proficiency in English is required, role requires daily written and verbal communication in English

Skills & Experience:

Qualifications

  • Citizenship: Mexican Citizen
  • Visa Requirements: B1/B2 USA Visa required
  • Education: University Degree or Trade Certificate required, industry experience can be considered
  • Experience: Minimum of 2 years in a program coordinator or corporate administration role is preferred
  • Industry experience in oil & gas production operations is a plus
  • Communication Skills: Proficient in written communication

 

Strenghts

  • Strong multi-disciplinary team working skills
  • Highly organized, can progress multiple workfronts at once
  • Experience with corporate learning management systems preferred 
  • Experience with petroleum regulatory compliance is a plus 

Computer Skills: Proficient computer skills relevant to job responsibilities
