About the Role:

 

The purpose of the position is to provide financial accounting guidance and recommendations across the Corporate Business Units.

The position is responsible for ensuring the Business Units’ financial results, including budget and forecasts, adhere to the Corporate policies and guidelines.

 

Duties & Responsibilities:

 

This role is important in supporting the business in delivering on our strategic objectives. Some of the key tasks you will be responsible for on a day-to-day basis include:

 

  • Manage the financial results for allocated business units, including communicating results to relevant stakeholders
  • Manage the subsidiary accounting for Corporate
  • Manage the financial accounting entries for Corporate
  • Ensure all financial accounting documentation is maintained.
  • Engagement with the internal and external auditor

 

Skills & Experience:

 

We are seeking a degree qualified accounting professional, who holds CA/CPA chartership (or equivalent). You will have demonstrated experience as a professional in finance/accounting environemnt, either consulting or in-house, with exposure to various regimes i.e. non-operated joint venture arrangements

Your experience will see you bring a sound understanding of Australian Accounting Standards, with strong competency in preparation of statutory financial reports. This will be supported by excellent financial and commercial analytical skills, with intermediate-advanced Excel.

An understanding and/or experience working in a SOX environment would be beneficial (preferred, not mandatory).

 

On a more personal level as this role is business facing and will interact with stakeholders on a daily basis, we are seeking someone with strong communication and interpersonal skills
