About the Role:


We are looking for an exceptional Program Manager to join our Digital Infrastructure team here based in Perth. Reporting to the Head of Digital Infrastructure Strategy, Security and Engineering, this position is a key member of Woodside’s Digital team in managing delivery of the infrastructure portfolio of projects.

 

The portfolio encompasses IT infrastructure systems and applications, IT infrastructure within OT and cyber security technology. Successful delivery of projects balancing spend, timeliness and functional completeness is our strategic objectives of infrastructure that are simpler to operate, secure, reliable and achieves lower cost operations.

 

The program manager will join a new team with an emerging project portfolio and will be required to perform a blended role of project manager and program manager while the project portfolio forms and scales up, transitioning to only program management.

 

Duties & Responsibilities:

 

In this dynamic role you will plan and coordinate delivery of the Digital Infrastructure program of projects including all aspects of scoping, scheduling, resourcing, risk and financial management.

On a day-to-day basis this will see you involved in:

 

  • Project coordination and oversight
  • Budget and financial management including tracking current year and forecasting 
  • Risk and issue management
  • Stakeholder communication, reporting and relationship management
  • Resource management including direct engagement and supervision of project management resources where appropriate

 

Skills & Experience:

 

We are seeking a Degree Qualified professional (Information Technology, Computer Science, Business Management or Engineering), complimented by Project Management and Program Management certifications from industry leading bodies such as Prince2 or PMI.

 

In addition, we are looking for someone who can bring:

 

  • Proven IT infrastructure program management experience in large enterprises (3+ years), ideally within Oil and Gas
  • Proven IT infrastructure project management experience in large enterprises (5+ years), ideally within Oil and Gas
  • Technical understanding of IT, OT and cyber security concepts, standards, architecture and operational practices
  • Strong communication skills, able to simplify complex situations into core issues articulated in language of the stakeholder to enable informed and rapid decision making
  • Experience managing delivery of projects under SAFe (or agile) practices in an enterprise
  • Report on program delivery up to senior executive leaders
  • Exposure to the Resources sector and proven expertise working within collaborative and high performing teams
  • Excellent people leadership and team management skills, including onshore and offshore service providers.
  • Strong stakeholder management, relationship building and influencing skills
