Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Participate as a member of the hook up and commissioning team and the start-up team during start-up operations.
  • Maintain offshore electrical equipment, such as motor control systems, transformers, UPS, electric motors etc., to ensure that it can be operated safely and reliably in compliance with all statutory and Woodside’s Trion requirements.
  • Assist Offshore Planners with developing and maintaining procedures and work instructions for all electrical work: To provide clear, accurate, and up-to-date guidance for electrical tasks, enhancing efficiency and safety.
  • Ensure the safety of personnel and integrity of facilities at all times. This includes simultaneous operations, emergency response, and training exercises: To protect the well-being of personnel and maintain the structural and operational integrity of facilities under all conditions.
  • Participate in and lead safety-related drills and exercises; lead facility HSE meetings as required: To reinforce safety protocols, prepare for emergencies, and ensure continuous improvement in health, safety, and environmental standards.
  • Verify safe control and isolation to enable access to electrical systems and equipment: To ensure that all electrical systems and equipment are safely isolated and controlled before any maintenance or access, preventing accidents and ensuring safety.
  • Ensure that facility maintenance activities provide safe, electrically stable and optimal equipment performance and conditions: Maintain a high level of equipment performance and reliability, ensuring safe and efficient operation.

  • Contribute to the planning and scheduling of maintenance activities: To optimize maintenance schedules, ensuring timely and effective upkeep of equipment and systems.
  • Serve as a coach/mentor across the team: To foster a culture of continuous learning and development, enhancing team skills and performance.
  • Participate in the Field Leadership Program: To develop leadership skills and contribute to the overall leadership capacity within the organization.
  • Step-up for Maintenance Supervisor: To provide leadership and continuity in the absence of the Maintenance Supervisor, ensuring ongoing maintenance operations and team support.
  • Inform the Maintenance Supervisor and the engineering staff of equipment modification requirements or proposals to maintain electrical drawings, schematics diagrams, in an “as built” condition per Woodside Management of Change procedures.
  • Assist the materials coordinator in maintaining and establishing adequate levels of supplies and strategic electrical spare parts at the facilities.

Skills & Experience:

Strengths:

  • Understanding of reliability maintenance concepts, identification of equipment criticality and analysis of failure mode effects.
  • Ability to influence and align team members within the organization.
  • Demonstrated experience in the operation and maintenance of hydrocarbon processing equipment including motor control system, low and medium voltage power distribution, transformers, UPS, electric motors in the offshore oil industry.
  • Good written communication skills.
  • Experience in the use of diagnostic equipment related to electrical systems.
  • Ability to interact with various stakeholders and convey technical information clearly and concisely.
  • Demonstrated leadership ability and good personal, interpersonal and team skills.
  • To provide feedback to engineering personnel of equipment modification requirements or proposals to maintain electrical drawings, schematic diagrams, in an “as-built” state according to Woodside's change management procedures.
  • Ability to interpret electrical manuals.

 

 

Qualifications

  • Citizenship: Mexican Citizen
  • Visa Requirements: B1/B2 USA Visa required
  • Education: University Degree or Trade Certificate required
  • Experience: Minimum of 10 years in offshore oil & gas production operations
  • Communication Skills: Proficient in written communication
  • Maintenance Management Systems: Experience with maintenance management systems, with a preference for SAP over other CMMS systems
  • Technical Expertise: Electrical design, commissioning, and operational experience
  • Computer Skills: Proficient computer skills relevant to job responsibilities
  • Training: High and low voltage switchgear operation and maintenance training required
  • Technical Knowledge: Working knowledge of distributed control systems, high and low voltage electrical equipment, gas metering and analyzer systems, power generation, and controls within hazardous areas.
