About the Role:

 

An exciting opportunity has arisen to join the Ethics and Compliance team in Perth on a 24-month fixed term basis. In this capacity, you will play a key role in providing comprehensive support across the organisation for the prevention, detection and mitigation of fraud, corruption and misconduct risks. This includes upholding Woodside’s Anti-Bribery and Corruption (ABC) policy, Code of Conduct, Whistleblower Policy, and Ethics and Compliance standards. You will act as a leader in supporting and enhancing a culture of compliance within Woodside, in particular influencing internal and external stakeholders to align with Woodside’s compliance requirements.

 

Duties & Responsibilities:

 

  • Maintain and continue to refine Woodside’s third party pre and post-transaction ABC due diligence program, including guidelines, processes, tools, training and monitoring
  • Conduct ABC due diligence in relation to suppliers, customers, social investments, new business opportunities, joint venture partners, and other business activities.
  • Conduct and review specific fraud and corruption risk assessments
  • Prepare fraud and corruption training content and facilitate/deliver training
  • Perform ABC compliance audits or capability assessments on selected contractors and/or joint venture partners
  • As a company SME and representative, interface with joint venture partners in relation to non-operator exposures and facilitate the mutual management of ABC risks and influence best practice where possible
  • Maintain awareness of international bribery and corruption related events, actions and best practice
  • Provide technical fraud and ABC governance advice within the business and promote the ABC Policy, Code of Conduct, Whistleblower Policy and E&C process
  • The ability to respond to and investigate concerns, disclosures or incidents concerning fraud or corruption, or unethical business conduct, in line with established policies and procedures, would be viewed favourably

  • Demonstrated communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to develop and maintain positive working relationships both internally and externally
  • Able to influence across all levels of the business
  • Thorough attention to detail
  • Strong report writing capability
  • Good business acumen, including sound understanding of commercial and legal considerations
  • Strong awareness of audit and risk practices
  • Ability to navigate sensitive and confidential scenarios with prudence and precision

 

Qualification

 

  • Relevant vocational or tertiary qualifications in Law, Accounting, Commerce or any other related qualifications
  • Relevant professional registrations (CA, ACFE, Legal, etc.)
  • Experience in providing forensic, fraud/corruption/integrity or financial crime compliance support to, or within, organisations
  • Strong knowledge of ABC laws, whistleblower protection, business conduct and compliance best practice
