About the Role:
The Operator/Maintainer is responsible for the safe and efficient execution of operations and maintenance activities at the H2 refueller facility in construction in East Rockingham. This role ensures plant reliability and availability through effective monitoring, proactive maintenance, and adherence to safety protocols. This role requires a proactive mindset, excellent technical proficiency, and a strong focus on safety and collaboration.
Operators/Maintainers will contribute significantly to the H2 refueller’s operational excellence and sustainability objectives.
Duties & Responsibilities:
The Operator/Maintainer role at the H2 refueller is the fundamental position responsible for daily operations and control of the facility. The role is primarily on-site, as well as on-call and remote support duties, as well as periodic Perth office attendance or other travel requirements based on the role or facility requirements. During the Operations readiness phase, the role will be based in the Perth office with periodic site attendance.
Due to the small scale of the facility. The role will include a wide diversity of operational, maintenance, engineering, and other business function exposure. Therefore, a proactive, willing, and open mindset is critical for this role.
Skills & Experience:
- At least 5 years experience in a similar role in a hazardous industry environment.
- Certificate IV qualification in Electrical or Instrumentation, and Controls or Electrical Engineering qualifications highly desirable.
- HV Switching qualifications desirable.
- Valid Western Australian Electrical Worker’s License.
- Certificate IV in Hazardous Areas – Electrical (preferred for working in hazardous environments).
- High-Risk Work License (HRWL) for elevated work platforms & Forklift desirable.
- Mechanical aptitude and cross functional skills will be highly regarded.
- Current First Aid and CPR certifications desirable.
- Responsible Person electrical role experience
- Knowledge of electrical systems, fault finding, and PLC programming.
- Functional safety experience and qualifications highly desirable.
- Demonstrated experience with instrumentation systems, including flow meters, pressure sensors, and temperature controllers.
- Valid drivers licence.
