About the Role:

As Woodside Energy cements its position as a Top 10 global energy company, developing the capability  of our people will be key to our ongoing success. Accordingly, we are seeking a Head of Organisational Capability responsible for managing and developing capability at all levels across our global organisation.

 

Reporting directly to the Vice President of HR, this position is instrumental in developing competency, capability, succession planning, and talent management strategies.

Duties & Responsibilities:

This role leads organisational development by understanding capability and competency across the business. You will work with leaders and executives to identify capability gaps and develop strategies and frameworks to build capability and competency for both our current and future needs.

 

This includes the development of capability frameworks at corporate strategy and functional delivery levels, leadership development, graduate and early career development programmes, talent management, and succession planning initiatives.

Skills & Experience:

As a degree qualified professional, you will be able to demonstrate considerable experience in organisational development within large-scale organisations. Ideally, you will have had exposure to working with stakeholders in global locations and will understand the importance of respecting different cultural norms and expectations when developing strategies and frameworks.

 

As this role interacts with a broad range of stakeholders you will have exceptional interpersonal and communication skills with an ability to influence outcomes with internal and external stakeholders, including senior executives. This will be augmented by a track record of building high trust relationships based on the delivery of quality outcomes.

The role is a member of the HR senior leadership team and you will bring a strong values based leadership style, have a continuous improvement mindset, and be comfortable challenging established ways of working.

As this role has a global remit you will need to be able to travel internationally on occasions.
