About the Role:
This role will support the Trion Project Operations Readiness team by providing integrity engineering expertise as the project moves from the Execute to Operate Phase. During the Execute Phase of the project the role will be responsible to develop the integrity management plan for the floating production unit (FPU) as well as the SURF infrastructure. The role will transition to become a local member of the engineering team supporting the Trion field after startup and into the Operate Phase
Duties & Responsibilities:
Core Accountabilities:
• Gather all technical requirements from project and external stakeholders to fully define the integrity management requirements for the Trion FPU and SURF infrastructure.
• Manage selected engineering contractor to deliver a risk-based integrity management build for the asset.
• Manage engineering contractor delivery of work packages instructing the execution of a topsides baseline inspection which will be performed by the fabrication contractor in the yard.
• Ensure baseline inspection data is properly checked for quality and imported into the Woodside integrity document management system.
• Develop process to manage integrity data in the Operate Phase.
• Interface with the maintenance build members of the operations readiness team to ensure integrity requirements are properly incorporated into the computerized maintenance management system (SAP).
• Develop full understanding of Trion project specifications and procedures related to facility integrity to adequately support daily operations post startup.
• Provide integrity engineering expertise to offshore operations team, local engineering team, and management during the Operate phase.
Strengths:
• Ability to build relationships and work collaboratively with both engineering and operations teams.
• Ability to present technical information to engineering peers, offshore operations personnel, and upper management.
• Ability to define and manage cost and schedule for areas of responsibility while delivering on technical objectives.
• Ability to manage 3rd party contractors performing work in the integrity function.
• Ability to interface in a global setting (across time zones).
Skills & Experience:
• 7+ years of experience in integrity engineering in the oil and gas industry. Integrity experience with upstream and offshore oil and gas industry a plus.
• Bachelor’s degree in engineering – preference to mechanical.
• Experience working with the applicable asset integrity regulations in Mexico: NOMs, etc.
• Experience providing engineering support to operating assets.
• Demonstrated project management capability.
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
