About the Role:
These positions present exceptional opportunities for lawyers to join the legal team of one of Australia's leading listed companies.
Working within the Perth-based legal team, you would provide internal legal support for a range of matters in Woodside’s operations, project development, corporate, commercial and/or new energy & lower-carbon services areas of the business.
We are interested in hearing from lawyers with 5+ years of applicable experience.
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Provide commercial-focused legal advice and assistance to relevant stakeholder groups involved in the preparation, negotiation, implementation and administration of various commercial arrangements, including those relating to one or more of the following areas: joint ventures, sale and purchase agreements, project development, operations, new energy and carbon solutions (including hydrogen, carbon capture and storage and carbon credit portfolio).
- Identify and mitigate risks and address corporate governance and regulatory compliance matters across a range of the company’s activities.
- Provide general corporate and commercial legal advice.
- Advise on legislative and regulatory frameworks applying to project development and operations and government development agreements.
- Provide structured and ad-hoc legal training across a range of functions and business units.
- Engage with business to identify and stay ahead of emerging risks.
Experience in all of the above areas is not required.
We are interested in hearing from lawyers with the core skills and experience set out below.
Skills & Experience:
- Admitted as a lawyer to practise in an Australian jurisdiction. Please clearly state in your application the month/year and jurisdiction in which you were admitted.
- Appropriately qualified with relevant tertiary qualifications (law degree) with 5+ years as a lawyer with professional experience – experience in the above areas is preferable.
- Team player with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Self-motivated with strong organisational and prioritisation abilities.
- Negotiation and influencing skills, including confident interaction with senior-level stakeholders.
- Ability to build and foster positive relationships and networks.
- Ability to work independently, prioritise and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
