About the Role:
Based in the Dakar office, the Maintenance Engineer will be a member of the onshore Operations team responsible for ensuring FPSO maintenance and integrity is maintained in line with contractual and regulatory requirements to support safe, reliable and efficient operations.
Duties & Responsibilities:
Foster a safe work environment for all staff and contractors, ensuring strict adherence to the Sangomar Safety Management System.
Provide oversight for FPSO maintenance and integrity ensuring that the FPSO is maintained within the defined integrity requirements and the approved procedures within the Operations and Maintenance Contractor’s (OMC) Integrated Management System.
Responsibilities include assurance and governance of the FPSO Contractor’s Computer Maintenance Management System (CMMS), maintenance delivery program, fabric maintenance and equipment integrity for compliance and effective delivery.
Support for continuous improvement opportunities to be identified, assessed and implemented with oversight on equipment performance & maintenance strategies performed by Contractor.
Provide input into budgeting & planning processes.
Contribute to a one team ethos supporting the Operations Engineer as needed by the business.
Skills & Experience:
Engineering or trade background in Instrument / Electrical, Mechanical, Rotating Equipment or related fields or significant operational experience in a relevant industry.
2-5 years of post-qualification experience working in relevant mining, heavy industry, large manufacturing, or energy industries.
Must be computer literate with proficient skills in a range of office applications and maintenance management tools.
A team player that can collaborate in a multidiscipline team and across a range of stakeholders.
Excellent problem-solving skills and a strong drive for continuous improvement and self-development.
A flexible can-do attitude with a drive to learn and develop your skills.
Excellent English communication and interpersonal skills.
