About the Role:

 

As the Marketing Manager for East Coast Domestic Gas, you will be responsible for developing, negotiating, and executing Gas Sale, Purchase, and Transport Agreements with a range of external partners. This role focuses on maximising the value of Woodside’s east coast domestic gas portfolio while ensuring compliance with all relevant regulatory requirements.

Duties & Responsibilities:

 

 

  • Identify, evaluate, execute and manage domestic gas sales opportunities, pipeline transportation and value-creating options, including swaps, purchases, gas balancing and borrow/loan arrangements.
  • Ensure compliance with the Gas Code, National Gas Rules and Woodside’s Conditional Ministerial Exemption to the Gas Code.
  • Take a leading role in coordinating the annual East Coast EOI process as required under Woodside’s conditional ministerial exemption to the Gas Code.
  • Build and maintain strong, strategic relationships with existing and prospective domestic gas counterparties.
  • Develop strategies and prepare submissions relating to government and industry policies and regulations.
  • Manage contractual and operational compliance requirements under domestic gas agreements, working with asset and technical teams as needed to exercise all rights and obligations.
  • Provide regular market updates on supply, demand, pricing and customer contract terms to ensure Woodside maintains a real-time understanding of market conditions.
  • Support the Operations team in managing day-to-day nominations and allocations of pipeline gas from customers, including applying allocation and curtailment rule sets.

 

Skills & Experience:

 

  • Strong understanding of the oil and gas industry and East Coast domestic gas markets.
  • Proven commercial and/or marketing experience with a well-developed network in East Coast gas markets.
  • Excellent analytical skills with attention to detail and ability to see the big picture.
  • Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to present complex information clearly.
  • Demonstrated leadership capability and ability to maximise team performance.
  • Highly organised, adaptable and able to manage competing priorities under pressure.
  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, finance, law or economics.
  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in a commercial or marketing role within the oil and gas industry.
