About the Role:

 

Woodside's Payroll team currently run payroll for approximately 5000 employees across 6 continents - Australia, Asia, Europe, Africa and North America and South America. 

We are seeking an experienced Payroll professional to join our fast-paced Payroll function on a 2-year fixed-term contract  You'll join a high performing team who have a reputation for delivering high quality payroll services to the business.

 

Duties & Responsibilities:

 

This role is based from our global headquarters in Perth, and our state-of-the-art campus reflects the quality-of-life Perth is known for - with a six Green Star rating, advanced wellness features and flexibility in how you work.

 

  • Transacting day to day payroll activities to ensure accurate data is processed and maintained
  • Providing advice & guidance to the wider HR function and Woodside employees with regard to payroll processes and queries
  • Delivery in accordance with the monthly timetable so that all payroll activities are conducted according to Woodside and legislative guidelines to ensure timely, accurate and efficient delivery of payroll services to the business
  • Support complex payroll process
  • Efficient resolution of queries and issues raised by the business and employees
  • Monthly compliance and reporting checks

 

Skills & Experience:


Reporting into the Global Workforce Administration and Payroll Manager, this position is important in ensuring our payroll is delivered in a timely and accurate manner. 

 

You will demonstrate proven experience across all aspects of payroll including;

 

  • Processing of a payroll of greater than 1000 employees;
  • All relevant taxation and industrial relations legislation in association with the calculation of payroll;
  • Processing of superannuation, payroll tax, PAYG, and end of year activities.
  • Ensure super compliance with OTE requirements
  • Calculation and processing of exceptional payments, back-payment, terminations and redundancies;
  • Monthly general ledger requisitions and year-end payment summaries
  • Payroll audit and reporting activities.
  • Ability to prioritise work to meet deadlines and peak work periods
  • Ability to effectively communicate and manage stakeholders
  • Excellent attention to detail

 

You will be proficient in SAP across the payroll, time management and personnel modules, and will demonstrate understanding of performing SAP systems upgrades and testing. You will also possess a strong understanding of reporting.

Preference will be given to candidates with exposure to SuccessFactors Employee Central and/or EC Payroll, however this is not a mandatory requirement.
