About the Role:

Our Digital Team is currently seeking a number of Product Leads to join their ranks for Woodsides’ dynamic transformation journey. Working from our Perth-based, state-of-the-art office, you will contribute to the Woodsides ops transformation success by applying your experience in managing products working with software teams to help build secure, reliable & valuable software sustainability. 

As a successful Product Lead, you will have a strong technical background and be customer-centric, strategic and outcome focused. Core to this role will be driving the software engineering of new products across the business, understanding the customer’s needs and managing the engineering team to achieve successful delivery. 

Working alongside other Product Leads from the Software Engineering & Integration Service Line, this role will strategically drive a change in software engineering across the business by building and setting up frameworks and tools, setting standards and guidelines and coaching and evangelising DevOps principles to ensure software engineers are enabled to deliver quality solutions at speed that are secure, supportable & maintainable, adopted and kept green.

Duties & Responsibilities:

•    Ensure that the Product Roadmap and Backlog is transparent and clear to the Engineering team and the stakeholders and lead product prioritisation discussions based on overall strategy, business objectives and needs. 
•    Manage the product throughout the Product Lifecycle, from Discovery Workshops to Deployment. 
•    Have a solid understanding of Prioritisation techniques and facilitate and lead Agile ceremonies; Sprint Planning, Backlog Grooming, Showcases. 
•    Accountable for promoting and building reusable, and sustainable approaches and frameworks to software engineering. 
•    Accountable for identifying, embedding, promoting and ensuring Continuous Improvement mindset within the Software Engineering & Integration team. 
•    Responsible for coaching and evangelising DevOps principles and standards to uplift the software engineering capability in Woodside. 
 

Skills & Experience:

•    3+ years Product Management 
•    3+ years in an Agile work environment 
•    5+ years experience in mid-level software development roles working in DevOps teams with a focus on test and behaviour driven software development
•    Experience with people management and managing a software engineering team
•    Capable in JIRA 
•    Lead product prioritisation discussions based on overall strategy, business objectives and customer needs 
•    Strong stakeholder management skills 
•    Communication with both technical and non-technical stakeholders 
•    Strong technical and non-technical problem-solving skills 
•    Experience with Behaviour Driven Development (BDD) and techniques like example mapping
