About the Role:

 

There are multiple positions available for Senior Software Engineers to join the team and contribute to the uplift in reliability and security of our applications as we pursue maximum change velocity. These are unique opportunities to leverage your skills and experience in Application Security or Site Reliability and influence our ways of working.  

As a Senior Software Engineer, you will also coach and mentor team members and drive DevOps principles and best practice for the full software development life cycle.
 

Duties & Responsibilities:

 

  • Promote and guide a secure / reliable software culture driving key functionality of our software engineering landscape.
  • Collaborate with Developers and Risks, Security and Operations Teams to ensure a cohesive approach. 
  • Understand cloud-native application architectures (Microservices, Serverless, Containers), and software engineering and operations practices (Agile, DevOps, DevSecOps, and Continuous Integration / Continuous Delivery) leveraging cloud technologies to address those needs. 
  • Build reusable and sustainable frameworks to application security and adopt a Continuous Improvement mindset within the Software Engineering & Integration teams. 
  • Responsible for coaching and evangelising DevSecOps principles and standards to uplift the software development capability in relevant teams.

 

Skills & Experience:

 

  • Experience in application security engineering working in DevOps teams with a focus on test and behaviour driven software development. 
  • Knowledge of secure coding practices and principles and experience implementing them
  • Ability to develop cloud-native application architectures and modern application development and operations. 
  • Experience with conducting service reliability engineering practices such as blameless post-mortems and chaos engineering. 
  • Hands-on experience with AWS cloud native services
  • A curious nature with the ability to think outside
