About the Role:

A highly motivated and experienced Production Engineer is needed within the Trion subsurface team. The qualified candidate should possess deep functional production engineering and operations knowledge. This role will be a key point of integration between the Subsurface team and the wider project team (Drilling & Completions, Subsea, Facilities and Operations). Opportunities will range across the production engineering spectrum from supporting new well planning and integrated production modeling to surveillance planning and operations readiness support. This includes supporting key deliverables in the following areas

  • Trion Operations readiness
    • Well flowback planning, procedures and execution
    • Field ramp-up planning, procedures and execution
    • Assisting with operator training
    • Flow assurance support
  • Well Integrity Management plans
  • Well testing and allocation methodology and procedures
  • Well and reservoir surveillance plans
  • Development well planning, including conceptual completions design and completions execution support  
  • Strong commitment and focus of skills training and knowledge transfer to less experienced teammates
  • Updating & maintaining the Trion integrated production model leveraging tools such as Resolve, GAP, Prosper and Eclipse.

  • Well and field production optimization, including optimizing operation envelopes, artificial lift, and well intervention identification
  • Connect impact of the operations to business performance through project economic evaluation and analysis
  • Regulatory submission support

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Demonstrate excellent people development skills and foster an inclusive environment.
  • Excellent collaboration skills and strong integrator of information and analysis across multiple disciplines and functions such as drilling, completions, projects, subsurface, operations, subsea, finance and planning.

Skills & Experience:

  • Minimum degree qualification in Engineering
  • Minimum 10 years experience
  • Strong technical background in Production Engineering with broad range of knowledge in the other relevant disciplines.
  • Experience in production operations, well integrity management, and well surveillance.
  • Deepwater experience is preferred but not required
  • Experience in integrated field modeling using applications such as GAP, PROSPER and RESOLVE
  • Strong interpersonal and engagement skills
  • Excellent collaboration skills and strong integrator
  • Ability to communicate effectively
  • Mentoring and coaching skills
  • Spanish required
  • English required
