About the Role:
During project phase, this role will deliver the technical requirements for after-market service contracts that will support operational aspects required for the Trion field. In addition, this role will lead the sparing identification, selection, expediting, and inventory process for the Floating Production Unit. After the project phase, the role will transition to reliability engineer to support day-to-day operations and manage continuous reliability improvement program for the asset.
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Deliver the technical requirements for after-market service scopes of work. Will review the service provider submittals and provide technical evaluations to feed vendor selection.
- Provide expertise in Failure Modes and Effects Analysis (FMEA) and Reliability Centered Maintenance (RCM) studies to identify the best suited maintenance strategies and the appropriate sparing across the asset.
- Develop, implement and manage asset reliability improvement program to identify and deliver on the biggest availability improvement opportunities.
- Review the detailed work plans that include job steps, resources, priority, safety precautions, and estimated durations.
- Review vendor and asset operational data to deliver recommendations on stocking strategies and levels for equipment, spare parts, and tooling.
- Develop, maintain and report on key performance indicators (KPIs) for maintenance and reliability performance over time. Support the digital team in creation of reports and dashboards for KPI tracking and reporting.
- Develop and maintain a structured Failure Analysis Program to investigate equipment failures and document corrective actions.
- Lead Root Cause Analysis (RCA) for critical failures and ensure findings are implemented to prevent recurrence.
- Use reliability data and modelling to optimize maintenance strategies and plans in operations to eliminate low value work.
- Evaluate and implement condition monitoring technologies to improve equipment reliability and maintenance efficiency.
- Create and update a Critical Equipment Risk Register to prioritize reliability strategies and minimize downtime.
- Ensure latest maintenance documentation and manuals are up to date and accessible upon handover. Standardize feedback loops with vendors and design teams to share failure insights and improve equipment specifications for future projects.
Skills & Experience:
- Ability to influence and effect change.
- Ability to define and manage timelines for execution and deliver on objectives set forth.
- Experience with SAP (CMMS), Power BI, Root Cause Analysis and Reliability Modelling tools.
- Relating well with people, which quickly enables building of trust and strong relationships with stakeholders.
- Ability to quickly identify problems and recommend solutions that will improve the business.
- Ability to interface with multiple disciplines in a global setting across the operations organization.
- 10+ years of experience in offshore oil and gas operations and reliability.
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Knowledge of safety regulations and best practices for offshore facilities.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Bilingual in English and Spanish.
- Thorough experience of the application of SAP, Power BI and Microsoft Office tools (Excel, PowerPoint, Word and 365).
- Proficiency in maintenance and reliability fundamentals such as preventive maintenance, predictive maintenance, Root Cause Analysis, FMEA, RCM, maintenance work processes, maintenance documentation, spare optimization and mechanical integrity.
- Proven ability in implementing reliability improvement programs with measurable success.
- Familiarity with condition monitoring technologies (vibration analysis, infrared thermography, oil analysis, motor circuit testing)
- Expertise in Root Cause Analysis (RCA) and implementation of corrective actions.
- Experience integrating reliability strategies during commissioning and start-up phases.
Preferred certifications: CMRP or equivalent reliability certification.
