About the Role:

 

This Change and Systems role is part of the Governance, Risk & Compliance (GRC) team within the Finance Business Group. The GRC team is responsible for managing Woodside’s enterprise risk profile, and oversees governance, risk and compliance across the organisation. 

 

GRC offers an exciting opportunity to develop your skills by working across a diverse range of areas, from corporate governance over how we work, to overseeing regulatory compliance matters linked to our licence to operate, to current and emerging risks that could impact company objectives and performance. 

 

Reporting to the Improvement, Systems, and Change Manager, you will collaborate with GRC and the broader business to drive value through strategic insights and change management expertise. 

In this role, you will oversee and champion change management efforts to support embedment of Our WMS (Woodside Management System) whilst driving continuous improvement and sustainable value delivery. Your responsibilities will also extend beyond conventional change management, as you will actively contribute to the development and delivery of targeted training programs and digital solutions. These initiatives will support the integration and effective use of systems and technology, ensuring they meet the needs of GRC and the wider business. 

Duties & Responsibilities:

 

There are several key area of focus for this key role.

 

  • Change Management Oversight: Lead and advocate change management to embed Our WMS, risk, assurance and compliance. Ensure consistency and drive  continuous improvement across GRC.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with GRC and the broader business to drive value through strategic insights and expertise in change management.
  • Technology Integration: Facilitate the seamless integration and effective utilisation of systems and technology, ensuring they are fit for purpose and aligned with the needs of GRC and the wider business.
  • Continuous Improvement: Promote a culture of continuous improvement within the organisation through strategic initiatives and change management practices.
  • Value Creation: Seek opportunities to deliver value through the GRC scope, challenge existing processes and drive value for the business.

 

This position will be based in the Perth office and involves close collaboration with various teams across Finance and Digital and the broader business. 

 

Skills & Experience:

 

We are seeking a degree qualified professional (e.g. law, commerce, engineering, HSE, business, management or similar) who can demonstrate an understanding of large corporate governance, risk and compliance processes. 

You will have the ability to think strategically and provide insights that drive value and improvement across the business, supported by strong problem-solving skills to identify challenges and develop effective solutions that drive business success. You will bring excellent collaboration and communication skills to work effectively with various stakeholders, including GRC and the broader business at all levels.

Your background in similar business facing roles will see you posessing highly developed influencing, negotiation, communication and presentation skills. You are someone who has proven experience in facilitating project / change initiatives within an organisation, with a strong understanding of change management principles. Your leadership skills include fostering a positive team dynamic, promoting collaboration and facilitating effective problem-solving sessions with a team. Your experience give you confidence to work with full autonomy in managing stakeholders, with authority to directly solve issues and an instinct to know when escalation is appropriate.
