About the Role:

 

An exciting opportunity has become available to join our Digital team as a Senior ERP Technical Specialist based in Perth. Reporting to the Head of ERP, the ERP Technical Specialist manages the technical structure of the S/4HANA ERP system and ensures the systems are available and performance is suitable for the business needs.

 

You will use your deep understanding of the SAP and ancillary systems, their integrations and the supporting infrastructure to lead a core team of technical specialists and ensure the S/4HANA solution and associated systems are maintained at maximum value and operate effectively to support the business needs.

 

Duties & Responsibilities:

 

  • Manages technical aspects of the S/4HANA system, ensuring the performance and availability suits the business needs.
  • Manages a team of service providers to ensure the systems are supported and maintained appropriately.
  • Is responsible for integrity of the system, and that the system architecture is fit-for-purpose and effective.
  • Collaborates with Digital leadership to align the ERP roadmap with the Digital Strategy.
  • Ensures compliance with the Sarbanes-Oxley act and safeguards the business from adverse findings and weaknesses through the documented controls.
  • Ensure system stability by ensuring the development lifecycle is followed and functional changes are tested effectively to ensure minimal business disruption.
  • Has responsibility for Change Management and represents the ERP services team at the Change Advisory Board.
  • Supervises the support services provided by the Application Managed Services provider to ensure an effective and efficient support structure and process is maintained.
  • Constantly looks for innovation opportunities and manages new initiatives in line with the Digital policies and processes.

 

Skills & Experience:

 

 

  • Extensive experience in managing SAP systems and providing technical support. 
  • Experience in supporting SAP S/4HANA, HANA DB and ancillary cloud systems such as SAP Business Technology Platform, OpenText and Ariba.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to engage with a wide range of stakeholders.
  • Ability to work collaboratively and build strong relationships within a cross-functional team.
  • Strong problem-solving and critical thinking skills.

 

 

Qualifications (or equivalent), such as:

 

  • Tertiary qualifications: Degree in computer science, IT or related discipline.
