About the Role:

Reporting to the Geoscience Computing Team Lead, you will be key in maximising the value of our cloud-native architecture and cloud computer environment, by implementing and assessing Petrotechnical data workflows. This role will guide and oversee our Service Providers to ensure quality of workflows and proactively assess roadblocks.

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Implement Petrotechnical data workflows in cloud systems, ensuring best practice for cloud-native architecture and the subsurface cloud compute environment.
  • Provide expert quality assurance and advice around all aspects of Petrotechnical solution architecture and use of cloud computing.
  • Guide the growth of others by creating a collaborative environment to evolve new ideas and best practice for Petrotechnical data workflows and cloud systems.
  • Manage the integration of multi-vendor cloud services with on-premises technologies, while monitoring compliance.
  • Maintain and communicate Subsurface technology roadmaps and work to recommend new capabilities that would simplify adoption and drive greater value out of data assets and cloud services.
  • Foster and develop external relationships with cloud, subsurface applications and subsurface data management services providers.
  • Engage closely with Business to plan and deliver Petrotechnical solution architecture and cloud computing services and improvement projects within agreed timeframe and budget.

Skills & Experience:

Your proactive nature and solutions focused mindset will see you succeed in this role, coupled with:

  • Professional-level certifications in Architecture, DevOps and/or Cloud Technology.
  • Experience in a similar role, with knowledge of seismic and well data management domains.
  • Ability to deliver services across functions and multiple assets through the development of strong working relationships, excellent time management and clear communication.
  • A team player mentality committed to providing the right balance between data and information management best practice and business requirements.  
  • Tertiary qualifications in Information Services or related discipline will be highly regarded.
