About the Role:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Shipping Specialist to join our dynamic Woodside Shipping team. This pivotal role is essential in ensuring that we continue to uphold our reputation as a dependable producer and transporter of hydrocarbons. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing and optimising our LNG shipping operations, ensuring efficiency, safety, and compliance with industry standards.
Duties & Responsibilities:
The successful candidate will deliver the following:
- Provide advice and guidance to Trading and Marketing teams on any new opportunities, shipping requirements and operational matters
- Review and provide input into the development of shipping commercial terms in SPA’s
- Monitor, verify and ensure chartered vessels meet all Operational and Technical performance requirements set out in TCPs
- Provide advice and support to the Voyages Operations team.
- Assist with shipping related dispute resolution and claims.
- Provide subject matter expertise to support a range of Shipping activities across the business.
Skills & Experience:
The successful candidate will possess the following:
- Class 1 Certificate of Competency or equivalent (Master/Chief Officer)
- Prior experience in a shore-based management role in LNG shipping, including experience with LNG Ship operations.
- Collaborative and proactive mindset
- Commercial acumen
- Work with cross-functional partners and external parties.
- Consistent demonstration of a strong work ethic and the ability to deliver to tight timeframes/ deadlines.
Desirable:
- Prior experience in a management role with liquids shipping, including experience with tanker operations.
- Prior experience in a management role with ammonia shipping, including experience with tanker operations.
