About the Role

 

Responsible for the development of Woodside New Energy strategy and its integration into our Corporate strategy. Works with the external environment, Corporate functions and our New Energy business to develop a strategy that meets our Corporate targets and enables the transition towards lower carbon energy and services for our existing and future customers. 

 

Duties & Responsibilities

 

  • Analyse New Energy market/s, identify key signposts and monitor progress relevant to Woodside. 
  • Develop integrated strategies for Woodside New Energy growth. 
  • Build and maintain relationships across the New Energy industry – including customers, suppliers, intermediaries and market analysts/consultants.
  • Immerse and engage with Woodside New Energy Atlantic community to ensure our strategic work is inclusive in development and transparent in outcomes. 
  • Responsible for developing Woodside New Energy strategy, deploying well informed insight and courage to table a pathway forward. 
  • Works collaboratively with Woodside Strategy and New Energy community to ensure outcomes are inclusive and transparent. 
  • Drives fit for purpose processes and strives for collaboration and productivity.
  • Positively shapes relationships both internally and externally.
  • Understands and lives the Woodside values and behaviours in all that we do.

 

Skills & Experiences

 

Technical Skills

  • Understanding of global energy markets and key drivers of the energy transition.
  • Hydrogen/Ammonia/Power/CCS experience highly regarded.
  • Strong analytical skill set and a sense of curiosity to understand complex problems and/or value chains.
  • Strong communication (written and oral) and stakeholder engagement skills with an ability to present complicated themes in a clear/concise manner.
  • Mature interpersonal skills and demonstrated ability to work closely with other team members.
  • Courage to develop an informed view and articulate intent.
  • Accuracy and organisational skills (timeliness/planning)
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks of competing priority to meet deadlines.
  • Responsive and proactive in the face of change and challenge
  • Eagerness to lean into team and organisational culture development.

Qualifications

  • 10+ years experience in analysis and/or strategic advice in energy, infrastructure, minerals or equivalent.
  • Bachelors in commerce, science, engineering, finance, law or economics.
