About the Role:
We are seeking a highly motivated an LNG Shipping Analyst to provide real-time support to customers and maintain close engagement with the LNG shipping market. This role is responsible for managing and maintaining our commercial LNG shipping database, which includes detailed information on fleet activity, fixtures, and operations. The successful candidate will analyse market intelligence such as vessel positions and trade flows to support long-term chartering strategies and deliver daily market reports to senior management and clients.
Reporting to the Head of Strategic Shipping, you will involve in developing analytical expertise to support strategic client recommendations, including LNG shipping supply and demand modelling. This position is offered on a full-time permanent based in our Singapore office.
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Interfaces closely with the LNG Shipping market and provides real-time support to customers Senior LNG Shipping Analyst
- Maintain and responsibility of our commercial database of LNG shipping information including data on the LNG fleet, fixtures, operations
- Analysing market information on the LNG shipping and cargo industry to drive successful long term chartering strategy (e.g. vessel positions, trade info)
- Owning the preparation of daily market reports for top management and clients
- Developing expertise in the analytical practices used to provide strategic recommendations to clients including LNG shipping supply / demand models
- Building, reviewing, updating economic and financial models and running sensitivities
- Preparation of generic and tailored marketing materials
- New and existing transaction modelling
- Managing internal parties and the internal approval process for transactions
Skills & Experience:
- Previous experience working in shipping
- Strong numerical/analytical background is a plus
- Ability to work independently for extended periods leveraging industry experience and leadership capabilities
- Driven individual that can identify value and develop commercial constructs to enable value capture
- Global network of industry contacts and someone that is not afraid to develop new relationships proactively
- Global and international mindset and ability to work effectively with different cultures
